Bonus points for the Chihuahua-raffe. And on top of that, this is some really good animation. I wish more American animated features showed half as much skill and creativity as this short. [thanks for posting this]

It reminds me more of Jean-Pierre Junet's work (City of Lost Children, Amélie). jpburns, old or not, I'm guessing most MeFites haven't seen this. I'm afraid most new news is linked to already. ;)

Does anyone grasp that this was done in 2000, and is old news? (I saw it back then...) Well I have a friend at ILM who sent me early test renderings of it back in mid 1999. Everybody who's anybody had seen it well before 2000. In fact, I have another friend who did some concept sketches, and he smuggled some out to me waaaaaaay back in early 1999. And I can't forget my friend in the ILM accounting department who showed me the budget proposal for this short in 1998! Get with it, dude!

Anybody else get uncontrollable Final Fantasy lapses Yes. I was not impressed by the animation of the girl. Like the FF:TSW team, they can't do a convincing human face. Her movements also seemed somewhat wooden. Does anyone grasp that this was done in 2000, and is old news? Which probably explains it. The CG technology is 2000 vintage, roughly the same as the FF CG.
