Trolling Techs

In the immortal words of one of Sprint's top telemarketers, "You're gonna love this!". Recently, an associate commented on a Sprint sales meeting:
"We had a sales meeting today with one of Sprint's DSL tech support guys from Florida, and he let down his guard and gave us this nugget of information. He probably assumed nobody would really understand what he was talking about, and just think it was clever or funny. There is a website, www.dslreports.comthat is a newsgroup-like forum for customers of broadband services to share experiences with providers, good and bad. This site is intended as an unbiased "Consumer Reports" type of forum. These guys are classic "trolls" that put up phony posts praising Sprint's services and rebutting bad Sprint reports and adding technical advice for the angry people. Bad enough, but they go one step farther. They actually order Cable TV Broadband from Cox or TimeWarner, use their tech skills to ball it up as bad as possible, call tech support and be difficult, then post their "nightmare" experiences for public scrutiny. Sprint's motto that's drilled into us as #1 priority, "Honesty and Integrity in All We Do".
I'll remember this the next time I'm waiting in automated phone menu hell listening to some digitized voice purring to me that I have and average forty-five minute wait because the tech's are too busy yanking the chain of some other company's support to talk to me while I wait with my DSL (and I don't mean Digital Subscribed Line) in my hand.

This post was deleted for the following reason: There's nothing on dslreports.com about this. Without links to back it up, it's just rumor.
