Listening in. Marches are debated, but few of us get to watch them happen and hear the thoughts of the marchers. This is one of the items we're looking for: "most interesting of the web."

?! indeed.

Am I missing the place where I'm supposed to be listening, or is it just a collection of grassroots comments? And what's with the counter?

Yeah, I was extremely disappointed in this yesterday when I went there to see how it was going (after enduring a half-hour's worth of busy signals) and found first that I had to re-download Flash (to use Flash 6) just to see anything, and then once it came up, to get something that was more a promotion for how great this was than anything with information. Boo to whoever talked the moveon folks into this user-unfriendly interface.

Sorry to piss on it, ?!, but I was pissed off by it.

So let me get this straight (in "interactive mode"), 50 people, one in each state, disagree with the war in Iraq?

Well, I don't know how the government can ignore such a huge reaction...

(Is it Friday already?)

soyjoy, did not have as many problems that you described right now. But still puzzled,[?].

It seems to be live with the counter running and refreshing my screen renewed new messages for each state, but no phone # listed to call. Or was this just for one day [?].

Sound can be turned on just to hear ring, ring [?].

Interactive mode was the only way I could read the comments, unless you're a very quick reader.

Looking at the time being posted on the site, this counter is live. But watching the counter go, about 60 calls per second, it seems that number is way low if this went live yesterday [?].

Unless, this is yesterdays results, double posted for today and tomorrow's tomorrow and so forth.

Which leads me to wonder, why just one day to participate?

Jpburns -- by reloading the screen you can get a new set of messages.

I really thought this was fake, until I started to see Pro-War messages...

Some are pretty funny...

It does re-start as the counter is at a lower # now.

Steve you're right, and I was really wondering too.
But, it is great to have folks speak up. Not sure if true, but told by the white house that every call they receive on an issue, they feel 10 other people in America have the same sentiment yet chose not to call.

soyjoy: That's ok. The problems with being relatively new at posting. I should have warned about Flash. Obviously, I didn't have any of those problems or I wouldn't have posted.

jpburns: The server became overloaded. It was live. Now they have set it to load 50 comments when you get on the page. To get another set of 50 you have to reload the page. It's not quite what I posted about, but close.

One thing I've learned: some sites are like bread. Best if posted the day they are made. I watched this one too long before posting on Metafilter. Here's the author of the site, by the way.

Steve: I saw a comment or two for the war. Funny wasn't the word that came to my mind.
