That page only says the "F" word (or variations of it) 19 times. And its 9 paragraphs, so thats only an average of about 2 times per paragraph. Better than most rap.

I was put off by the effing effness of the current entry at first, but figured it wasn't necessarily typical, so I kept reading-- back through May. Yes, he's good! I especially enjoyed this, from July 1:
Oh, by the way, I think I'd love to work for a magazine - those people are such flufferbunnies. It's ten parties a week and two martini lunches to produce something just as surfacy as their existence. I think there is something really cool about working hard for something that is a benefit to nobody, especially when you act like it's meaningful. "I single handedly engineered the backlash against utilitarian chic."

it's nice to see that, although we live in a country rife with a veritable candy sack of horrors, we still have time to be offended at the word "fuck." very reassuring.

That guy just makes himself sound like an uneducated idiot by swearing like that.

either that, or that's what he wants you to think :>

Oh I wasn't offended. I just thought it was funny. I thought about using the word 'fuck' instead of 'eff' but I didn't want to call you a fucking fucker, Patrick. Maybe it woulda been funny too but that wasn't my intent. Eff doesn't have the negative connotations that fuck sometimes inadvertently indicates. Eff can mean "rock" or it can mean "toadstool" or "shrub." Eff's a great fucking word. Fuck is a good word too, but sometimes one is looking for a word that just has a bit more eff to it.

"That guy just makes himself sound like an uneducated idiot by swearing like that."

Could you please explain this to me? I don't know what you are trying to get at. Really.

Sarah - I frequently get the idea that you are just using this alias to say really silly things. I suspect that you are some other poster having a bit of fun with us. If that is the case, then I find it all rather clever. But if this isn't a spoof then I would like to understand why you think swearing is related to either education or intelligence.

It's unusual, but I'm going to have to back Sarah on this one.

It's because when I'm reading something that's absolutely littered with profanity, I can't help but think "Wow, this author seriously needs to find a better way to stress the point."

It's the same with starting every paragraph with the same sentance, or making huge sentances held together with "and" or "however."

It's really not fair, and I try to see past grammatical "Don'ts," but it can become difficult.

It's becomming apparent to me what I mean...

he's using his language to poke fun at/celebrate the vapid (-ity? -ness?) of his world.

besides, if you're reading something titled "fucking fuck," it's fucking obvious that it's a rant, oui?
