Barbie and her friends now have blogs. Seeing this seriously made me consider hanging my hat and going home. They even have webcams, to do lists, and little photo galleries. The corporate giants are working hard to pull girls in to technology - which is a really good thing. Too bad the latest posts are about buying mini-skirts and things like that.

3/13/2003 Cool AND Kind
Bumped into Nolee flying down 6th Ave. today. She had two big shopping bags in each hand. I thought she'd hit some major sale or something, but she told me that two days a week she delivers hot meals to elderly people who can't get out of the house. I swear, that girl is one surprise after another.
Well, she's a valley girl with a message, anyway.

Is it just me or is Barbie looking more and more like Briney & Christina lately? They're gonna have to start drilling her navel deeper.

Hell, Kim Possible Disney's latest kiddie heroine has a bare midriff and navel. Disney fer cryin' out loud.

Okay, so some one explain to me how corporate blogging is worse than the average blogger's puerile whinings. Most blogs contain links to sites that were linked on more prominent sites, poor writing, uninteresting content, and bad aesthetics in gerneral. How is Raging Cow and Barbie going to make this worse? Get a grip already.

Mattel is trying to get at the "tween" (ages 8-12 for us non-marketing types) market with this series of dolls, or so reports the Media Daily News.
