"There is making of silver sex". Taking bodypainting/messy obsessions to the very edge, Manon Production from Japan sells a wide selection of fetish videos (sample mpeg 1.69MB). All feature illustrative pictures and detailed, eerie Engrish descriptions ("we feel admirable and poor at her black smile"; "Midori's body is changing colourfull"; "a little golden powder enters into her eyes"). Results can also evoke a sculpture, the theater or abstract art. Considering the evident misogyny of the whole effort, is it all the more unsettling because the images are sometimes beautiful (1, 2)? Is it an attempt to somehow bring Sorayama's creatures to life? Could the models be actually enjoying it? NOT SAFE FOR WORK.

That is just strange, extreme. The paint inside their mouths I fear does not do any of them any good at all. In the eyes - I hope it is non-toxic.

*Paging Goldfinger*

They probably use non-toxic paint, eh.

Porn is wierd (NSFW), regardless of whether or not the country of origin has suffered carpet bombing.

Whoa. Good thing I work on Sundays, I didn't see the NSFW until after the video played. Gold dust in mouth = ech. I don't care how much they may profess it causes no medical side-effects, it just don't seem like the wisest thing to ingest.

Some observations about Japanese porn:

1) The genitalia is all legal Japanese pornography is masked, which leads to the fetishization of "covering up" rather than the "revealing" you find in American porn. Some guys even get off on the masking. Instead of the close-up spreading stuff common in Western porn, you get costume play, and game shows, and weird gimmicks like nude nursery homes or ninety minute videos of girls just kissing (the female director is interviewed here)
2) Japan has a taboo about dirtiness, hence the volume of porn that violates it: scatology, urophilia, public bath sex, bukkake, etc. Add, er, paint.
3) Japan produces more pornography than in the West, hence the greater variety. No religious, feminist, or public interest groups lobby against it. Hundreds of tapes are released each week.
4) Depictions of sadomasochism, rape, torture, schoolgirls bursting into tears etc are legal all neatly arranged in genres at your local video shop. Humiliating females has been coded into its own genre.
5) I think these people probably went to art school. I detect a "statement".

Cyrano: interesting observation. Wonder what new great fucked up stuff will be coming out of Afghanistan in the next few years?

asok: Hey, it's like having sex with an eight-year-old that's fully developed! You rule.

Irregardless, sorry pinto.

jonmc, I wasn't trying to cast any aspersions upon the vertically challenged, it is simply the common conversational use of 'sex dwalf' that caused me to link to it.
I hope I haven't hurt your fellings ; )
