Seems a good site although perhaps a tad americocentric (or possibly I did not investigate thoroughly).

I think it's a great site. As for being US-centric - well, it is in a way, but there's nothing wrong with that really, any more than there's anything wrong with the BBC site being UK-centric. Everybody sees the world from a particular perspective, wherever they come from; European, African, Asian or American perspectives - they're all valid, and you get the most complete picture by taking them all into account.

I love stuff like this. There's a book, Eyewitness to History, edited by John Carey, which contains many such primary accounts.
