Uh, dude...you are sick. But you knew that, right? I mean, it's not exactly news, is it? (After all, I'm sick, just in different ways. I think maybe we all are.)

Nope, nothing erotic there. At least not on this side of the screen. But you may have different tastes.

Surely I'm not the only one who thinks this is pretty hot. Guys...? Anyone...?

Hey! I am a guy, damn it! Maybe it's the skirt...a lot of men like skirts. Personally, I'm into mouths. Whenever I see a woman with full lips, I have to make myself behave.

Internook,

It's not just you. Check out any spanking erotica site online, and you'll find dozens of stories similar to that one-- though they usually end with the spanked person finding that s/he enjoys the experience.

BTW, this cracks me up:

We are writing to inquire what, if any, precautions are taken in your state, and at what level, to assure that male sexual sadists are not entering the teaching profession where, under the guise of administering punishments, they can obtain sexual titillation at the expense of nonconsenting, underage female students.

There are plenty of easier ways for "male sexual sadists" to "obtain sexual titillation", and I think any school official even back in 1984 when this supposedly took place would realize he shouldn't paddle a teenage girl for fear of risking accusations of sexual harassment. I don't buy the story they printed at all-- as I wrote above, it's quite similar to typical tales of spanking erotica.

I agree that corporal punishment doesn't belong in the schools, but I think the site creator should have been a little more skeptical of the letter's claims. And if the guy really believes that "we have no reason to believe that conditions have changed to the extent that such incidents are not occurring now", he just hasn't been paying attention.

yikes... it's not just the subject matter but the whole "I never believed it could happen to me" tone of the whole thing. Or, I'm just as sick as the rest of you guys (yeah, that's probably it...)

Let me be the first to say 'blech'! Grow up already!

Hehe, Hilarious.... If you guys believe this is real, you must have never read Penthouse Forum. My favorite part is the loving detail with which she describes her feelings of vulnerability, exposed as she is in her tiny miniskirt. Jeezus.... What's next, "My Humiliating Encounter at Stewardess School"?

I actually enjoyed it more because she "felt so ugly and sullied".
Let me be the first to say 'blech'! Grow up already!
What does this mean, anyway...?
I wonder if she was wearing underwear...?

It's a fake, someone is having a good laugh at nospank.
Actually, I guess we all are.

Oh, this site is full of hilarious stuff. Apparently Coach Burke makes kids grab themselves and lets other students dish out the swats. this is great.

wow.... now that is just sick (not you guys, that article)... I really don't buy into the whole corporal punishment in schools thing, since I know for a fact school systems are so busy trying to....ahem.... cover their asses about sexual harrassment suits and whatnot, that they wouldn't have time to administer a leisurely "swatting".... and that does read like a letter to Penthouse.

I think this is real...
I've read your short letter several times but can't understand what you
are talking about. If you want to know something about Project NoSpank,
the best way to find out would be for you to come and visit it and read
for a while. It is what it appears to be. Click on http://nospank.org .
I hope this helps.

hmm. i'll agree that the linked page read like one of those old made-up Penthouse letters to the editor - and i don't think you were sick to notice that - but the site is serious and the problem is, too.

lots of adult unhappiness begins in childhood experiences, and the long tradition of spanking as a discipline for children masks the fact that children can be simultaneously terrified and prematurely sexually aroused by the experience. there's no way to quantify how many kids grow into healthy adults and forget the whole thing, versus how many are psychologically scarred, bringing problems into their marriages or other relationships.

this article makes the point well, but unfortunately it's buried on the site, which was created by someone knowledgeable about the issue, but not particularly gifted at information architecture or other site design issues.
