BBC News reporters' weblog on the war is closed. It was a great example of how the idea of weblog can be used in mainstream media. (Although it lacked hyper-links) In it's last instalment, reporters record some final impressions and look back at what it was like reporting the war. The daily archives are available on the right column of the page.

I am at the South Pole working for a year. I read this weblog everyday during "the war." We don't have television here and I found the BBC weblog to be the most interesting internet journal about what was happening in Iraq these last few weeks. We get the NY Times fax everyday and I was stunned to see the amount of war photos they published. Does it seem like a lot of photojournalists are vying for awards?This must have been the most photographed war ever.
