Anyone see his short film? It's bollock in case you missed it. Bad sub nouvelle vague with loads of his famous model friends doing Segal acting style cameos.
And then he goes and does the dancers upstairs. Marklar, he's messing with or minds, one minute genius the next buffoon. All hail (didn't I say that about Murdoch earlier?). posted by ciderwoman at 5:46 PM on May 8, 2003

Let's have mercy on the ookamalkovitch. ;-) It's a joke about the film "Being John Malkovitch," which involves a portal that allows you to enter into Malkovich's mind. "John Malkovich, the actor?!" When Malkovich himself enters, everyone, and every word, is Malkovich.
and go see the goddamned movie! posted by angry modem at 6:01 PM on May 8, 2003
from the movie: How much do we love you? We loved you in "Making Mr. Right." That is how much we love you. We even own the director's cut on laser disc. Please accept us into your head as we have accepted you into our hearts. Please let us be you. Amen. posted by poopy at 6:07 PM on May 8, 2003
Now we have. Now we have Malkovitches. posted by machaus at 6:19 PM on May 8, 2003
As I was walking home this evening, a little Malkovitch was riding her Malkovitch in the middle of the Malkovitch. She still had the Malkovitch wheels on as she wobbled and Malkovitched to Malkovitch. It reminded me of when I was Malkovitch and how badly I wanted a Malkovitch but couldn't get one. My Malkovitchs wouldn't let me have a Malkovitch until I was Malkovitch; my mom was too afraid I'd Malkovitch myself. posted by y6y6y6 at 6:43 PM on May 8, 2003
I, for one, welcome our new Malkovich overlords. posted by alex_reno at 7:03 PM on May 8, 2003
Sometimes, in spite of the politics and the poopy-head name-calling that goes on here occasionally, I really really love this place called MetaFilter. These little one-liners that "outsiders" belittle and mock just make me smile and even laugh.
You guys rock.

By pumping smurf from one smurf to another, she was soon capable of maintaining twenty-nine smurfs. She could smurf on her own smurf. However, soon a smurf raged through the smurf and she smurfed out of control. Within less than a smurf, she smurfed into the murky smurf. Such was the fate of the battle of smurf for the smurf army.
I see your Malkovich and raise you ten smurfs. posted by ZachsMind at 10:12 PM on May 8, 2003

Serious question: Did Malcovich play the main terrorist character (Ezekiel) in "The Dancer Upstairs"? The film credits it someone named "Abel Folk" who has never had another acting role, apparently -- I think the name is just his little joke on us. It doesn't *especially* look like him, but it could be. He's not doing any press on it, and it's killing me.
(Malkovich is taking over. In his next film he will play *all* the characters, in disguise. Soon he will not bother with the disguise. Get ready. It is coming.) posted by onlyconnect at 8:46 AM on May 9, 2003
