Disgruntled Housewives On The Rampage

The New Shaker Wives Aren't Really Into Furniture or puritanism or bonnets. But kickass cocktails? And revenge? That, yes. Oh yes. Empowering? I should bloody well think so. Disgruntled housewives you say? I say their boring, stupid husbands don't appreciate their luck, more likely. Explore their website, enjoy and learn! [Offered as a companion-piece to tranquileye's June 2002 Ladies For The Preservation Of Cocktails post. P.S. This is neither here nor there but the more I live and know, the more I love and respect women and the less I like men.]
the less I like menLong ago I concluded "All men are pigs." Only recently have I qualified that by adding "... so are all women."
I wouldn't have it any other way! - luv m . ;-P

Boo. The Dick List is giving me a cgi error...
Thank you, Miguel, for reminding me of what a kickass site this is. The Pregnancy bit made me feel a hell of a lot better (being that it seems that everyone at work is on paternity leave at the moment...and those who aren't are occasionally giving me looks and wondering when I'll be the one to breed...).

Gracious -- I saw the phrase "Shaker Wives," and for a minute I thought you meant these people, which would make no sense at all.

Good post, Miguel -- this is indeed a wonderful labor-of-love site that's been around since the dawn of the blogosphere. (The "Housewife" is, of course, more grrrl-metaphor than literal pronoun, but that doesn't ruin the fun...)
Nikol's "Welcome to My Neurosis" column is a highly personal journal that frequently hits it smack on the nose. The entries are infrequent these days, but try starting with some of her entries from 1999-2000 for impressive bouts of frank, first-person dialogue.
