I enjoyed growing up here in the Northeast, and for the most part I'm definitely an East Coast kind of guy, but thanks to years of Beach Boys records and pictures of pretty wahines has given surf culture a magical allure for me. Seeing this movie awhile back only brought it back.

Cool link, crunch.

THANK YOU. . ..

Bruce Brown used to come by my dad's business, the Hermosa Beach Foster's Freeze, and ask to put posters up in the window, hence my sister and I got them eventually.

This is really cool.

The Beach Boys were actually from Hawthorne, and were looked down upon by most people who lived and surfed in the beach towns.

I am sending this link to everyone I still know from my home town. . .

If you get a chance, Jon, check out Endless Summer 2, from 1994. I have it on laser disc, and it's one of my all time faves. (Unfortunately, it's not available on dvd at the moment.)

This one is pretty cool. "Featuring Dynomotion!"
