Lotta room in that head.

Andrew Bell has drawn a little creature on an index card and posted it online every single day since January 2002. His website, The Creatures in my Head, now hosts an archive of over 400 drawings where readers can comment and vote on their favorites and, at least in my case, imagine how great plush dolls would be.

Good link, me think. Thanks.

This is really good.

That's beautiful.

My favorites seem to all be in the 6.5 range on the voting, and my least favorites much higher... kinda makes me sad.

This is great. Thanks for the link.

Love it! The "Death Creature" baby-doll tee shirt will be mine!

The I hope you like it, I can't return it image is perhaps my favorite of all of them. Meaningful and funny on so many levels.

Reminds me of The Gaping Void, only index cards instead of business cards.

And cute monsters instead of cynical, dry, intellectual word/images.

I LOVE THIS.
(What else is Bell up to? I can't find a good bio or other projects, except his note saying he'll be at a comic-con in San Diego hanging out with the Goats people this summer.)
I WILL DESTROY YOU!

This is good! Reminds me of Tom Winkler's doodie.com in the old days... I'd hyperlink it now, but sadly it seems the site has turned into some major advertisement portal, with the daily 'toon framed meekly in the center. What crap.

A more appropriate comparison is explodingdog. Some of these make great desktop pictures!

sweet link. This will become another weekly visit just like the aforementioned explodingdog and toothpaste for dinner.

Bah. Toothpaste for dinner is blocked by Websense as "Tasteless". Hark! Rice cakes are tasteless. Aquafresh for a meal is surely not. Minty minty.

These are a lot of fun.

This site was a textad here a while back, and is in a similar vein, although a bit more sugary.

*quonsar discovers the traffic boosting secret of successful web developers - do something insignificant, do it redundantly, collect all results, post on web, continue.*

"quonsar has carved a little swaztika on his forehead and posted it online every single day since June 2003."

cute drawings, yes. but what are they really, except cartoons without characters, plot or humor?

Reminds me a bit of my art, actually... except without the snazzy website and a bit less detail here.

Good stuff though! A worthwhile diversion, at least.

kaibutsu - I know what you mean about the low rated favorites... some of the one's I was really into were voted around 5-6 as well. Just proves the old cliche: one man's art is another man's err...poop [or, more recently via the designers republic: ALL ART IS SHIT | ALL SHIT IS ART]

I gotta go with quonsar on this one. (Except I don't think they're so cute, either.) Exploding Dog is better. (Or even Dog of the Day.)

You have to bring something to the table on this one. Besides, it isn't about a long drawn out plot. It seems to be about implied plot with the image + the quirky title. Very subtle, but very good.
