I don't agree with the statement, but if you ask me, there's a lot of times I wish it was true.

Lovably unwieldly, that big ugly thing, for some reason it reminds of the sculpture of the crazy artist in "My Life as a Dog" ...

Publicity about the sculpture brought offers of support from around the world but Hamad has declined them: "If I take money from others, I'll have to create what they want. I want to create something that is purely my image, so we don't accept any money."

It will be interesting to see if the new Iraqi government can maintain the same independence.
