Write better emails. Make more moneys.

Like most Nigerians, you're probably finding that it's increasingly difficult to earn a decent living from email. That's why you need to attend the 3rd Annual Nigerian EMail Conference.

The PCness in me is ashamed considering that, in part, it makes fun of the plight found in Nigeria, but eff it, this is funny.

I don't know. The concept sounded funny when it was forwarded to me today, but as I read on it just seemed more needlessly cruel than anything else.

Of course, the email scams are ripe for comedy, but I jsut think it could be done better.

The Nigerian Advance-Fee Scam (aka 419 scam, after the Nigerian criminal code statute) just plain works far too often for me to feel sorry. Cruel is scamming the unwary out of billions; at least one estimate pegs it Nigeria's second largest industry after oil.

I have found recent Iraq-themed variants interesting, particularly one invoking persecution of "fellow" Christians as the emotional hook.

I was amused for the most part, but thought the 3rd world running water/flushing toilet humor was out of line.

The Dubya version is brilliant, if a tad outdated now.
