A monstery mystery. A tale of confused monks, hoarded books, secret passageways, hidden cupboards and, ummm, CCTV.

How many of us bibliophiles would be tempted to go "one tome over the line" if we knew of a neglected collection of old books? I had to leave the country to fix my "problem".

"one tome over the line"

A monstery mystery

Cutest typo ever, has echoes of Sesame Street's "Monsterpiece Theatre".

Great news item. I don't think I would have been able to resist either.

If the thief had a voltage detector, he could have been alerted to the CCTV. that was his down fall. The police where foolish not to examine to room thoroughly. Holmes, in the 'Adventure of the Speckled band' for instance comes to mind.

Stealing is wrong. books seems a moral crime as well as civil crime, but to steal rare books is a very bad. BUT, this guy restored the books and cared for them which deserves consideration.
