George Monbiot, environmentalist and anti-globalisationist has seen the light - he no longer wishes to demolish the WTO. And what's more, it was US President, George W. Bush, who made him see the error of his ways.

To summarize, "We need affirmative trading action."

We used to discuss globalization a lot, but not so much recently (although examples can be found)

Not that I'm complaining. It's one of the most relevant subjects to bring up, and if you review all of my postings from back then and compare to what Monbiot is now realizing, you will clearly see that I was right. :)

Monbiot always impresses with his reasoned and sophisticated articles. If only we could all be so reasonable it wouldn't matter who was right or wrong, only that we eventually get it right.

I just wonder if pro-globlization forces are going to have the patience or sincerity to read this article beyond "I was wrong about trade".

I doubt it.
