Welcome back, Metafilter!

Well, ok, you could have had a couple more similar or complementary links, but at this stage, I'm grateful for anything not NewsFilter...

This is ear-bleedingly cool.

Maybe someday when LCD screens come down in price, we can wallpaper entire rooms with stuff like this.

Fascinatingly painful. I like #20 the best (of the five or six I looked at). This goes really well with the music I'm currently listening to.

I think the epileptic lobby would have something to say about that.

Wow. That was just...wow.

Now that my head is aching, which way to the nutkicker?

#23 is dangerously close to HeadEscher, IMO.

There's music to that? Glad I don't have speakers.
Surprisingly effective.

this one is especially cool as magic eye.

As a lark, I made something similarly painful here last year. It's far less artistic, more annoying.

These linked backgrounds are pretty cool - imagine someone trying to put text over them - shudder.

Oooh...pretty. I'm almost tempted to use one of those on a website....nah. Maybe. Nah.

Is #13 a stereogram? My eyes started bleeding before I could figure it out.
posted by DakotaPaul at 3:41 PM on June 27, 2003

Interesting how much faster it renders in IE than Mozilla - about twice the speed.

Right on, PigAlien!

Unfortunately mits all in slow motion on my computer, unless I make the browser really small. oh well. time for a new computer so i can watch smooth graphics. :)

Whoa! Thanks for the cool link, crunchland.

DakotaPaul: none of them are stereograms in any way, just repeated patterns.

Some of them are neat, though. Like Senor Jones, I think #20 is the best one; it's not 3D, but it almost looks like it is.

Ow! That hurts. #25 left me seeing shapes in front of my eyes for about 10 minutes after.
