It's Not Easy Being B: Like Avis, they try harder. So let's hear it for for the only slightly famous; the not famous enough; the famous for infamous reasons; the heard-of but couldn't-give-a-shit-for; the over-eager and under-achieving B-Listers. Poor bastards. Only A-Listers and C-Listers are worse, no?

Rolo: Sorry, mate. I think Radar magazine's article is up to the much-missed Spy magazine's standards. It's witty, well-researched and funny. It also says a great deal about human nature. As I surf the Web quite a lot, I always have several things I'd like to post - this article is definitely the best I've seen since Sunday. Also, I really like Radar. We don't get it here in Portugal yet. Anyone know if it's any good, all-round? From the online snippets, it certainly seems so.

Born to Runner Up... I loved that scene... hilarious. "Why would people come just to boo us?" However, I think that being a second banana is an entirely different category than being a B or C lister. Think: John Oates versus the Stone Temple Pilots.

There have been more articles about "B-list" celebrities (using one or another terminolgy or criteria) than there have been weblogs. The best ones have the most conclusions that make you think "yeah, I never thought about him/her that way" and the least that elicit "they think WHO is WHAT?!?". This one has way too many of the latter. As for MeFi's B-list, I'll admit to that, but I'm also a wussy boy.
