Alarming example of consumer vigilante-ism! What do you do when the car dealership reneges on their financing and won't reimburse you for the car alarm you had installed? This is hilarious.

Heh. That would seem to be a smart tactic.

Sounds like she got a variation of the "dealer recon" (recontracting) scam, aka "bait & switch APR" (top ten car-dealer scams). Why it's always a good idea to walk into a dealer with bank financing in hand. The dealer can try to beat the offer if he likes. But you're guaranteed a straight-up deal either way.
