It looks like Clear Channel is taking over WWV. They already changed the recording. ;)

This post was deleted for the following reason: you've been hoaxed!

Kind of thin humor there. Now if they'd processed the voice like a boy band, or had the voices of two nationally-syndicated fart-obsessed drive-time DJs prattling sub-cretinous drivel and never actually getting around to giving you the time signal, or... I dunno, something.

Oh I get it... You don't like Clear Channel!

How clever!

Notice Regarding NIST Radio Station WWV

A recent satire on a personal website suggested that a commercial broadcaster is acquiring NIST radio station WWV and will change the broadcast format. That personal website is not connected with NIST in any way. While some people found the satire amusing, others apparently took it seriously and contacted NIST to express concern. NIST has no plans to sell, lease, or make format changes in any of its radio stations: WWV, WWVH, and WWVB.
please, for the love of all things dong_resin, read the sites you post. it kills the joke if the site denounces the joke right away.

of course, in this case, the site waited until the second paragraph to denounce the joke, so its ok, jcterminal. unfortunately, that "joke" doesn't require denouncing.
