Nixon Ordered the Watergate Break-in. Jeb Stuart Magruder, the deputy director of Nixon's 1972 campaign, revealed in a PBS documentary to air on Wednesday that Nixon personally ordered the bungled break-in at the luxury Watergate Hotel complex. It took 30 years, but the truth finally comes out.

Makes you wonder what we'll be hearing about Bush Jr. in 30 years, doesn't it?

He became the only U.S. president to resign in 1974
Well gee, the odds weren't good for two presidents to resign in '74.... ;)

It took 30 years, but the truth finally comes out.

And. as we all know, Jeb Stuart Magruder is been rendered genetically incapable of lying, so there is no reason to doubt him.

So let's dig his worm-food ass up and give him another trial.

Close enough:

"I wish (Magruder) had done it 30 years ago when it wasn't just a bit of historical minutia," Dean said. After his time in prison, Magruder began a career as a Presbyterian minister.

Sounds like a faith based initiative to me.

Well this is pretty much going to kill Nixon's political career.

Nixon's head will, despite this setback, rule us all in the thirtieth century.

I'm currently reading the Nixon Memoirs book and he describes the whole Watergate thing in incredible detail. Of course, he maintains throughout that he never had any inkling whatsoever. What's so striking is the effort he must have put into lying while writing these memoirs.

Anyway, good to have that cleared up. Now who killed JFK?

I always thought it was Linda Lovelace, but gees if you say its Hal Holbrook, I'm going to have to see that one again!

I think for Nixon, that was actually the thing that came easiest for him.
