A trend that should never have been born refuses to die. posted by gwint at 12:50 PM on July 28, 2003
For a while back in the 80's, everyone in Seattle had an opinion-usually negative-about Brian Bosworth, all star college running back-turned-Seahawks number one draft pick. His shaved hair and nasty demeanor instantly elevated him to media darling...er...target. People even went so far as to produce "I Hate the Boz" t-shirts and sell them in the Kingdome parking lot before games.
Boz was a linebacker, not a running back. And I thought the bigger reason he was hated was that he was supposed to be a superstar, but turned out to be a complete bust who was more concerned about his own fame and image than actually playing football. posted by nath at 2:03 PM on July 28, 2003

I tell your future with the tarot, mon!
In all seriousness, considering that the modern card deck was derived from Tarot, which was designed, apparently, to tell stories about Mary Magdelene and the sacred feminine, I've got no problem with people using cards to tell the story of a man who shouldn't have been king. posted by thecaddy at 3:01 PM on July 28, 2003
