		<description>I agree, stbalbach, and in fact I think the photos would be almost pointless without the biographical bits.  I&apos;m not so impressed with most of the portraits themselves;  The color-on-BW gimmick is distracting and most of them feel like advertisements rather than good portraits.  But it was really neat to read about the people in the pictures.</description>

		<description>i don&apos;t mind the color-on-BW &apos;gimmick&apos; at all: i think they&apos;re fantastic photographs. OTOH, what bothers me is the annoyingly huge animated gif on the homepage (if you&apos;re going to do something like that, flash is easier and smaller). also, for some reason, the top navigation &lt;strike&gt;is a nightmare&lt;/strike&gt; doesn&apos;t work at all (i&apos;m on PC 2000 using mozilla, 1.2.1).</description>
