I'm willing to try again, however

I can't believe I missed a National Day of Prayer. And to think, this one involved a demonstration just blocks from my house. Damn it, I'm usually so devout when it comes to these things, and now that the day is nearly over, it looks like the prayer didn't even come true...

jonson, your thoughtful link rekindled my dormant religious streak - I am praying now, these things sometime take time. Amen, and bless you my son.

I think Larry Flynt has a few things to work out with God before he grants him any wishes.

See, Steve, that's why I'm kicking myself. While God might have been reticent to grant Larry's wishes, I just know if I had added my voice to the chorus in time, I just might have been the straw that broke Bill O'Reilly's back. I mean, don't get me wrong, I'm no saint, but I'm far enough from Larry that God might have looked down & decided "Gee, if two people as different as Larry & my good man Jonson are both in favor of Bill O'Reilly's painful death, maybe I should look into it further". Aw well, no use crying over missed opportunities, I suppose.

Would it be acceptable if I submitted that both men make me kinda sick? (Though I wouldn't wish death on either)

Well, really all I want to know is:

Jonson, why do you hate Bill O'Reilly so much?

Damn you, Steve!! I walked right into it. I can blame only myself...

Faugh. We've become a nation of pansies. Pray for his death, indeed.

Charles Bukowski would've shoved a beer bottle up O'Reilly's wazoo, then gone home and written about it. Something like, hmmm....

"I have more faith in my plumber than I do the eternal being. Plumbers do a good job. They keep the shit flowing." CB

Their communal hate did help get him shot

Perhaps, but not an act of God.

Yeah, ba wa whatever. Why not just ignore him? I had never even heard of Bill O Reilly before this thread.

Almost on par with "Yay, Pat Robertson has cancer."

People say I don't pray for my enemies. But they're wrong. I do pray.

I pray they go to hell.

2:31 a.m. ET, the text on the page refers to "Huslter" magazine.

Also the address has an errant space in "Ave."

I need a job/some sleep.

I love the drawings of the praying family at the bottom of the linked picture: the artistic style is lifted straight from right wing evangelical Christian tracts.

I'm praying that O'Reilly is crushed by the falling body of Larry Flynt. About a 20 story drop should do the trick.

In 1977, a 60 Minutes producer introduced Flynt to Ruth Carter Stapleton, the evangelist sister of President Jimmy Carter. The two formed a fast friendship, which resulted in Flynt’s surprising and publicized conversion to Christianity. Under the guidance of Stapleton, Flynt altered his mindset about Hustler’s objective, vowing to no longer portray women in such a vulgar manner.

a brain aneurysm that will lead to his slow and painful death.
Saw a sign yesterday: Don't let the bitterness get to you. When someone makes you mad; they've won because you're stuck with their bitterness.

Not having FOX News channel this place reminds me that O'Riley exists. Yesterday was also National Night Out. Larry Flint missed a great opportunity in his quest for governor...especially being a crime victim in a wheelchair?

did you read the small print at the bottom? do you understand the concept of parody? i thought the disclaimer at the bottom was lame, but i guess some people need a little more explanation than others ...

great line: "O, God, may he reach for the phone to call 911 and accidentally dial 411." ha.
