Chris and Erin's Wild Ride
August 11, 2003 3:28 PM   Subscribe

In May 1999, Chris and Erin Ratay quit their jobs, sold their Upper West Side Manhattan apartment, and shipped their motorcycles to Morocco to begin a trip around the world. Now, four years, 50 countries, and 100,000 miles later, they're back home. They've kept a continuously updated web journal over the past four years, available here. Ignore the unfortunate font and JavaScript choices and read this couple's incredible story.

Uhm if you sign a book deal and movie rights do you need a step three?

Cool, thanks for the link. This is one of those things that, without the internet, still would have happened and been awesome, but only a handful of people would have known about or been inspired by. Great links grrarrgh00.

Cool link, but this couple did the same thing on bicycles! (not that it's a contest. I envy them all).

They wrote a book about it which I just finished reading and recommend to anyone into immersive travelling.

Thanks, Mbarron2896, for mentioning that book. I have read it as well, and thought of them when I read the post.
