Well, I said, if they're going to insist on putting all those functions -- phone, camera, personal organizer, hand-held computer, TV remote, garage door opener, phaser -- on a single device then I want 'em on my Gameboy.

Mario will never start shooting hookers

Well. You can't tell me none of those turtles were whores and Mario bounced up and down on them and kicked them all the time.

N-Gage will bomb.

Standing tall at the end of it will be Sony with their PSP.

I'm a big Playstation fan, but I think you want to find out what the price point is (given its specs) before declaring Sony's venture successful.

Smart-bomb remote. A function I forgot to list.

Feh. Gameboy has all of those already. You just have to be willing to program them yourself. :)

I love the form factor of my GBA:SP - almost as much as the backlight. The clamshell design fits in a pocket and protects the screen, and - while the design could be a little friendlier to hands - it's brilliant. The NGage looks too much like the original GameBoy Advance, and the jury's still out on the PSP for me, at least. Personally, I don't mind SNES-era technology against PlayStation-era technology if it means it's more portable and I can play phenominal 16-bit RPG goodness like the Golden Sun and Phantasy Star series on it.

Screw the other gadgets and gimgaws, just gimme the phaser. I can think of several people I'd like to stun into next week.
