Summer Hummer Bummer - Hummer fans gathered last Sunday at a Southern California auto dealership in support of their beloved vehicles after an attack the previous Friday; the Earth Liberation Front, in a bold, patriotic attack designed to cut America's dependence on foreign oil vicious act of terrorism aimed at the heart of freedom and Democracy burnt and vandalized dozens of Humvees at four car dealerships in Southern California. "Slogans such as "Fat, Lazy Americans" and "I (heart) pollution" were painted on vehicles." " Over twenty Humvees were destroyed and twenty vandalized at the hardest hit dealership, causing estimated damage of over 1 million. The attack was similar, but far more destructive, to one against SUV's last April

"Oh man, if those vegan limp-wristed long-haired smelly enviroweenies tried that sh*t down here, they'd find out the consequences of a sudden acute injection of lead into their environment. " fulminates One FreeRepublic member infuriated by the satanic attack against divinely ordained property rights.

This post was deleted for the following reason: boy this is productive

"Envirofascists want to wipe out the entire human race, including ultimately themselves. Be the last one standing, feeling morally superior, and die! .....They are death worshippers. Clean water, clean air, being kind to animals, anyone can get behind these things. That is only the sugar coating of envirofascism. They want us all dead, not because we are Americans or Zionists or what have you, it is because we are human beings. ......They believe in central control of the economy, like socialists.......No room for humans! Leftism is now death worship."

Another priceless Freeper comment from that same thread.

These people attacked a bunch of inanimate objects? Not too bright are they. Or, maybe they are just scared to confront people they know would stomp them silly.

They are probably just jealous because the cannot afford to buy one. Either way, they are a bunch of morons. There is no one that can condone their action, therefore they will have no support, and if/when caught, they will go to jail for being a bunch of imbeciles.

The vehicles are not the problem, they just sit there waiting for a driver.

That's really convenient. Usually I have to go all the way to Free Republic to see a front page full of posting from Free Republic.

ELF should be shut down under RICO statutes.

Find the pro-ralley odd. What they think their precious is next. Ever been to a Hummer dealer, Hummers only? Overbearing seeing so many, what are we going to battle. Their only down side is the "what you pay for" is rarely used in the city. In the end an Hummer owner pays for it as well. Check out the cost of tires or transmission work but sure most are leased making them future good buys down the road.

Well, speaking as a leftist not terribly obsessed with the environment - it's more that the degree to which I want to kill each human directly corresponds to that individual human's adherence to the negative American stereotype the radical left tends to believe in. It really has nothing to do with death-worship or enviro-worship, but rather has a lot to do with being disgusted by most individuals in my species.

To whatever extent those stereotypes about Americans are true - and they're not far off the mark in many ways for many, many people - Americans have become sub-humans.

"We don't disagree with the need to improve fuel efficiency," said West Covina City Councilman Mike Miller. "But vandalism doesn't get the message across."

Why, I must say I was thinking of buying a Hummer, and I was shocked, shocked(!) I tell you to learn that these vehicles polluted! If these kind-hearted people had not violently destroyed so much property, I would have never guessed that Hummers were not efficient. I thought they ran on Solar Power!

They're all fucking idiots. Both sides.

We're the planeteers, you can be one too, because saving our planet is the thing to do. Looting and polluting, is not the way, here's what Captain Planet has to say: The Power is Yours.

Oh god Captain Planet, we've forgotten everything you and Whoopi Goldberg taught us!

On the contrary; the only place you can find people to intimidate or impress is in the city.

Doesn't it sound like fun, though?

Property rights, blah blah blah, but, fun is fun.

I condone their actions!!! I laughed my ass off that they did it and pissed off all those stupid SUV lovers out there. More power to them. These are stupid, ugly, needless, gas-guzzling CARS that don't need to exist except in the middle of Africa for a safari, for christ's sake. They certainly don't need to exist in the USA! I'm glad they ruined them. I hope they do it again, but this time do a better job disguising themselves from the video cameras.

By the way, you can't go after the drivers as easily and then then you're hurting people, not vehicles, which isn't cool. So it's better they attack the vehicles.

Hummers and oversized SUVs are totally and completely stupid. Unless you need them for some aspect of your work, they are a waste of resources, they're dangerous (studies have shown that the higher you are from the road the faster you tend to drive) and generally the people driving them have a pretty disturbing disregard for almost running people over all the time. And nine times out of ten there's one person in the stupid warehouses on wheels.

When I see a Hummer, I see a wanker behind the wheel.

Harrumph! Well, now....Indeed. Setting aside arguments in support of the presumed "necessity" of such actions to wake up a lethargic populace as to the environmental &/or strategic dangers of furthering our reliance on fossil fuel energy, can we at least agree that, in fact, multiple felonies have occurred? As long as ELF is prepared to play on that basis, and until they are responsible for killing someone in doing so, fair enough (no whining, though!). If it's a "property" issue, get rid of your damn computer, sell your shit & go live in the forest if you're such a purist.

Yes, I agree that multiple felonies have certainly occurred. Absolutely! But I'm still glad they did it. As long as they're not hurting people, I'm glad they're doing it.

Damn Straight!! And while we're at it let's get rid of all those stupid needless, resource-chewing, CLOTHES. I mean why can't we all just wear uniform grey environmentally friendly paper smocks????
