I'd watch a new TV Show with Bull rather than Markie Post.

Activate Electra-Change!! Ah yes, Electra Woman and Dyna Girl. Just one of the many sites devoted to the hallucinations of Sid and Marty Krofft, but what's important here are the quicktime clips. Oh, and the mystery 2001 pilot episode for the WB starring that chick from Night Court.

The Kroft Hour is but a hazy memory for me. But I still have a vivid image in my head of EW and DG. And the beat up dune buggy that talked and turned glittery. And the beach bum genie. And Dr. Shrinker. The Krofts were just warped enough that their visual style became seared into my 7 yo retinas. I think that is one of the reasons there are so many Krofft fanatics today. They stood out (for good or ill) from the rest of Saturday morning and you remembered their work even when all the other cartoons began to blend together in your head.

Charles Nelson Reilly: Greatest. Actor. EVER.

And the girl Bugaloo -- grrrrrr -- eye-candy even to my (then) very young eyes.

Did Sid and Marty do that show about the sea-monsters too? I always forget the name for some reason... Anyway, I'm so glad you mentioned the magic dune buggy, Spartacusroosevelt, that was another one of my favorite shows! What self-respecting 8 year old cocksucker wouldn't flip over a dune buggy that turns glittery? I had forgotten all about the many hours of young fag-joy that show brought me.

Taken from the Charles Nelson Riley Imdb page:

(April 2002) Not only is he currently performing his one-man show "Save it for the Stage: The Life of Reilly," Charles is an acting coach at Burt Reynolds Dinner Theatre in Jupiter, FL, and he has directed many Broadway and off-Broadway shows. (Reilly and Reynolds have been friends for years.)

Burt Reynolds Dinner Theatre? Anyone up for a road trip?

A high school classmate of mine used to work at the Burt Reynolds Dinner Theater. It's not even as glamorous as it sounds.

Stan, I'm getting the impression that you're a snopesboard regular.
