thanks plep. when i was in americorps, i worked for the Oneida tribe of the Iroquois. today, there are some great artists.

Great find plep. I am always interested in seeing early photos of native peoples. I particularly liked this discussion on the influence by the subject and by the photographer. It goes a bit to a discussion that went on in your thread on native portraits by Edward Curtis which talked about romanticized images.
