Sales results on the Franken book... Sales results post-Fair and Balanced Day... (Possibly offensive to Fox fans, also...) (via Fark)

Bought it. On more than one occasion, I relived the "Junior High School Cafeteria Milk through the nose" moments that speckled my youth.

One of his better works, although "Why Not Me" still stands out as his best, IMHO.

So wait: a satire rag satirizes those who are unlikely to recognize satire?

Just hit us on the head like it's a club. No skill involved at all. Make sure it's soooo obvious that no one could not get the joke.

Weston, can you break down that sentence for me? I tried and just couldn't understand it at all.

Only problem with the post link? I didn't see any actual sales numbers, just lots of fun tossing at dumbass Fox News viewers (who are apparently a whole lot stupider than Fox TV watchers, maybe the Simpsons is smartefying?).

fenriq.
"a satire rag" The fpp link
"satirizes those who are unlikely to recognize satire" Fox TV viewers

The link is to an attempt at humor. Unfortunately, it is not funny. Hence the confusion.

I finally bought the book today. I wasn't able to find it until today. Clerks told me they couldn't order it fast enough. The fact that it is selling so well here in Nebraska startles the bejabbers outta me -- but gives me warm fuzzies.

Well, I found it somewhat amusing.

"And for winning this prize, I would like to thank News Corp, Fox News, and Rupert Murdoch; for without these critical thinkers, I would not have had all the free advertising that drove my book sales through the roof, making me so rich, that I probably should be watching Fox News now. I'm getting the labotomy Thursday. Thank you, and Bush Bless."

I thought it was a great book. I picked it up the Saturday after it was released, and finished it (well, devoured it) by early evening. Great read.

Beautiful. A Kodak moment for our culture. We should all be sharing an International Coffee on a big, gauzy beach. Luscious.
