Fascinating stuff. Abandoned before it was even completed - I don't believe I've ever heard of such a thing. The bricked up entrance photos were reminiscint of A Cask of Amontillado, very creepy.

The stations in Cincinnati's abandoned subway have the same architecture as Central Square in Boston (technically Cambridge) on the Red Line.

In Edmonton we have a white elephant subway known as the LRT... (original huh?). Many Edmontonians wish that this money-loser had been abandoned in favour of a more affordable, and much more efficient/diverse/useful/actually-goes-somewhere, above ground line.
