CGchannel.com has a brief but fairly informative feature on the two CG effect "set pieces" in the recent movie S.W.A.T. I thought the movie was a quite respectable summer spectacle - the helicopter crash in particular was quite well-done - and it's usually fun and instructive to see how these things are done.

A helicopter crash makes a respectable movie? Er...GriffX didn't say that, s/he said the movie was respectable and that the helicopter crash was particularly well done. I liked the movie a lot, they did a lot of things right, it's not your standard brain-dead summer blockbuster by any means. Neat link, GriffX, thanks! I've bookmarked the site.
