"The Virtual Truck Route offers many stops along the way. This site has been developed as a tribute to the drivers of the big rigs, to the artists of truck drivin' music, to the DJ's of the truck drivin' radio networks, and to those who love them. Happy motoring!"

I spent a month driving around the USA with a CB listening in and it was the most enjoyable culture lurking I've ever done. Some of the funniest people alive seem to be truck drivers, in particular in the hill country of Appalachia and Ozarks. Just wish I could have recorded some of the stuff is sheer genious, always spontanious.. its an art form talking on a CB and these guys have a lifetime of experience. Plus it's fun "watching" all the events within a few miles radious through the eyes and words of others, an amazing amount of interesting activity is going on that the 4-wheelers (cars) don't ever see or know about. You'll never feel alone or lack entertainment with a CB on a road trip, better than a radio. I took another trip recently with XM radio and the CB is more fun.. just like 2-way internet is more fun than 1-way TV.
