I wonder if my county has a Dead Bird Monitoring Report Form on its Website.

it likely depends on the presence of west nile virus in your area, which is why governments are so interested in dead birds lately.

There's an awful lot of sexual offenders on that wanted list....kinda spooky, really...

"Meet Meet"?

Having grown up in neighboring Linn County, I can testify that Scott County was a good drive-through area (i.e. Interstate 80) until they got riverboat gambling passed for the Mississippi. Now, and for over the past 10 years, it's kind of a cool place to go and see, what with all the nice riverside eating establishments and attempts to pretty up an otherwise agro-industrial area.

And, in the mid-90s, Scott County was host to one of the best Alternative Rock radio stations that region has ever seen.

as good old [gag] rush limbaugh would say, "it's interesting what goes on in flyover country"

The most-wanted are mostly wanted for 'failure to register as sex offenders,' rather than being wanted for an outstanding sex crime. It's likely more a place to lay low rather than a place producing.

thanotopsis - Boy, do I miss that radio station. I still listen to it, but they've stricken the Alternative and now go for just the Rock.

Yeah, that double meet thing was an error. However, the real meat of the post is the Meet Your Motor Grader Operator part. If only we all knew our motor grader operators

Not every county has one that is this informative and useful. And none surpass Scott County's openness about those important people keeping all those roads in shape and safe to drive on, ie. Motor Grader Operators.
