Pretty damn lame. When ersatz gay chic hits network primetime, it's over for independent comics. Or, in this case, no longer enough to carry the joke.

Diesel Sweeties is nothing short of brilliant as far as I'm concerned, so I'll keep an eye on our little ghost in the hopes it gets better. I do miss Diesel Sweeties' use of color- changing the hue of one word for emphasis, coloring a full background for effect.

When I write my own comic, it'll be because of Lynda Barry, Mike Mignola, Herge and Mr. rstevens.
