Go ahead! Max out that credit card, buy a car or three, pick up another job to help out. Now, put out an ad for people to pay your way, in monthly installments. You might as well, this loser did.

Offhandedly stupid craiglist solicitation with no indication of any reader response. Seeks global exposure on heavily trafficked web forum. Please respond in confidence.

it's NOT ok to contact this poster to defend a bad FPP. This is in or around www.metafilter.com

This surely warrants a front page post. Excellent work. Amazing. We are all better off now. Thanks a million. Kudos. Outstanding work.

I collected some really horrendous Craigslist personal ads a while ago in this blog posting.

Note this one. At least she offered sex in return for having her bills paid:

"
Okay - here's the deal. No bullshit. I'm a nice, intelligent, educated, 31 year old girl from Long Island. Very mainstream. Very clean, discreet, HIV negative, no std's. 5"4", Shoulder length red hair, brown eyes, medium build. I live in Pacific Heights and drive a BMW. I hate my job and want to quit. I'm in sales and trying desperately to change careers. I'm having a harder time finding a job than I thought. But I can't stand being in my job one more day. Here's where you come in...I quit my job and you take care of my bills until I find a new one. It totals about $2500 a month. In exchange, I'll be at your beck and call...for whatever you need day or night. Sexual or non-sexual. And once I find a good job, we can revisit our situation.

A term I coined for this idea of running up debt and then creating a website or blog to try and coerce others to help you out of the mess is: blegging and the guy is, by extension, a blegger.

Idiots like this should be ashamed of themselves.

And then they should be slapped in the face, really hard.

Part of me has to believe this is some sort of pyschology project, if only to hold onto that shred of belief in the goodness in human nature.
