Perhaps someone enterprising could do an art exhibit: nicely framed photographs of all 320 someodd and rising dead soldiers in one place. That might put a "human" face on the thing. Such an exhibit easily travels. Set it up in any mall in the country on a weekend, with a big sign saying something like "Please show respect for these soldiers killed in the line of duty in Iraq."

When the AIDS Quilt was started, it was to help publicize the disease Reagan refused to mention. What kind of shit is it that now our troops need the same sort of thing? Dissing troops, dead or alive, is a great way to make the Republic fall.

Hm. I guess this would have turned out to be more of a flamewar if I had mentioned Bush in the title. Well, if it's any consolation, "Bush Lied--People Died" is going strong...expect to see it a lot as the election gets nearer. This hiding of the bodies and wounded will get harder as the counts go up (unfortunately).
