superhandz is billed as an an x-treme hand sportz site. But impressive as some of these displays are, when it comes to flourish, can anyone even begin to compete with three-year old Mo Kin?(quicktime clip)

getting a heaping helping of missing images on that first link, madam. Could it have been blown beyond transfer limits in a mere hour? The Little girl is amazing, though... it's things like that that come immediately to mind when I think of Japan in general; what a weird, magical, wonderous land.

I had no idea that there was an extreme sport called "cup stacking". I'm still not sure it's not a hoax, but if not, then the world is perhaps a little weirder than I'd suspected.

The little girl is wonderful - I can't stop smiling. A couple of interesting sites, btw, selling musical instruments for children: this guy makes unusual (and indestructible!) instruments for children's museums, and this site has some more modestly priced things that look like fun. (I think I need a lollipop drum.)

and diagrams and pen spinning and, and.... (hand gesture) {Q jokes concerning ambidextrous whappa is warded} I loved to flip knives and of course throw them at target boards as a teen. my favorite was a stiletto roll. The handle in the left hand is spun twice to the right hand with eyes shut or towards a fixed focal point. also bic tossing, my records is 17 flips, eyes closed. ah youth, now my bones creak. nice links Madam. As always.

The expressions on the girl's face are cute at first, but scary on second viewing, like watching an animatronic toy cutely programmed for Great Leader Kim. She's probably helping her family to get an extra sack of rice every year, maybe an extra pair of shoes. Oh what great wonders do you bring to show, Great Leader!

Playing that song by puppeting would seem even more amazing to me, so I'm willing to believe she's playing by herself. I'm just hoping that she didn't learn the skill by some kind of cruel conditioning. That she comes from North Korea isn't really helping. Speaking of musical prodigies, Tony Royster Jr played this drum solo (20MB .avi, about 8 minutes) when he was 12. Amazing stuff.

sfenders - I wouldn't call cup stacking 'extreme' but it is a lot of fun. It's an annual unit in my kids' school gym class. My daughter is pretty good at it, but nowhere near as fast as Ms. Fox.

i saw the kid link a few days ago - I was blown away - I won't even consider the puppet thing - its closer to magic for me. It made me sit back for a long time and just think about how incredible humanity is - By her expression, how you can see her anticipating and then attacking with glee certain segments of a line - you Know she Understands what shes hearing - I don't think that can be faked And at 3 - For a second it was enough for me to question my atheism = then realize that cop out is used every time someone sees something too incredible for them to fully understand. I wonder if she'll continue to grow at that rate.

North Korea or not, she looks like she's enjoying it. "Smile more convincingly, or you're going back in the box! You remember what happened to your brother, don't you? Now, once more, for the fatherland!" Have you ever seen footage of the way North Koreans are made to behave in public, for fear of their lives or livelihoods. That girl may be doing it herself, but if you really believe that is genuine, unalloyed joy on her face, I envy you your belief in the goodness of humanity. In the face of overwhelming evidence to the contrary. I found the clip chilling, and deeply depressing. But perhaps I'm just dyspeptic today.
