Is it just me, or will Shockwave not install for Firebird? posted by rushmc at 4:42 PM on October 28, 2003
It's Monkeyball with a jump button and a less useful camera. Great clone, but without monkeys, I dunno... posted by kevspace at 4:47 PM on October 28, 2003
I'm using Firebird 0.7 on Win2K and it works for me. posted by jpoulos at 4:59 PM on October 28, 2003
yeh, monkeyball rules and this seems to be an inferior knockoff.
and rushmc, i've had an insane amount of problems installing or playing multi-media plugins w/o it crashing (currently firebird 0.7 win/2k). posted by poopy at 5:03 PM on October 28, 2003
oh, and rushmc, forgot this. posted by poopy at 5:06 PM on October 28, 2003
Using the mouse to navigate is frustrating because in order to jump you've got to L click ON the ball, thus screwing up the tilt. Can't effectively use a combo of space bar and mouse either. posted by Feisty at 5:06 PM on October 28, 2003
Monkeyball?
Feh. It's MARBLE MADNESS. posted by linux at 5:31 PM on October 28, 2003
thank you linux. damn new school gamers don't know the joy of playing a game with a trackball... posted by joedan at 5:37 PM on October 28, 2003
I thought stress balls were supposed to relieve stress. This is just making me angry. Damn ball keeps falling off. posted by punishinglemur at 6:00 PM on October 28, 2003

No, you don't. L click anywhere. Works for me. posted by punishinglemur at 6:02 PM on October 28, 2003
Thanks, poopy. I was wondering the same thing as rushmc.
I think it is called a stress ball because it creates stress. Fun, though. posted by dg at 8:03 PM on October 28, 2003

no, you just have to click anywhere in the game area - try it.
Yeah this is a clone of Monkeyball, but it's fun and free nonetheless. Both are a variation of Marble madness too, though they play alot different due to the player controlling the board, not the marble. These games are more of a ripoff of those old wooden labyrinth things. posted by phylum sinter at 9:35 PM on October 28, 2003
Hey, this game is great! Plus, it let's you edit your own levels that can be on a million by million square grid! Cool! posted by nyukid at 1:33 AM on October 29, 2003
