An accurate, real-time planetarium, all made in Flash... Use your mouse to look around the sky (click to start/stop moving). Pointing at stars shows their name, magnitude and constellation (all loaded from an XML file).

Change the viewing coordinates to 36"/118", click once in the star field, and drag the mouse to the middle left portion of the screen. This is what Yosemite looks like after a half-bottle of Wild Turkey.

Pretty neat. Any way to get constellations highlighted?Learning constellations was one of the things i wanted to do this summer and didn't. There are other neat things in there too.

i heard all about those newsfilters and the flashers on the intarweb. don't you worry, j35u5 will take care of them. what i need to know is how many songs will fit on a mp3? and can i erase them and use them again like my cassettes? i can't wait to get the web tv on my aol, because that comcast is 100% pure broadband, and that's better than ivory soap even. i'll be out back looking at the stars. lol! omfg! stars are shiny.

Very good, but not a patch on KStars for linux. Burn yourself a copy of Knoppix, and you can play around with KStars without even having to install linux. It's extremely cool.

Yeah, crunchland, take a little of this: Excellent work! Ha! How'd ya like that, eh? And there's more where that came from! My problem is once I get over how cool something like this is, I immediately start thinking of how it could be better. You should have a toggled option of having all the stars in a constellation show up when you click on one of them. And you should be able to enter your zip code and have it automatically convert to Longitude/Latitude rather than having to go hunt for that. And the "up" and "down" arrows should make the values go up and down instead of vice versa. And in addition to stars, it should show ponies. most stellar, use of flash ever! Heh. Nice.
