Shouldn't that read "Seduce the female sex", as I can't imagine there being many males who could be enticed into the bedroom through a woman's knowledge of drycleaning.

This symbol looks like: no muscle shirts.
Do these symbols have IQ, the Dry section reminds me of the recently posted IQ test.

Awesome! Now when I'm doing laundry I can do extreme sorting. Time to get another laundry basket.

But oh no! What if I only have a few 95C machine wash hots? Time to go to the store...

ciderwoman - I don't count myself among them, but actually lots of guys are thrilled by the prospect of a woman who sews, cooks, cleans, does the laundry.... they don't want to know quite this much about it, as long as it's taken care of. Great, big, traditional turn-on.

On the other hand, though some women would feel liberated by a man who took an equal share in household chores, and charmed by his willingness to participate in drudgery traditionally reserved for her, I count very few (precious though they are) who are "seduced" by a man in an apron.

I dissent. While the apron itself might not be so sexy (I'm sure there are exceptions), the fact that a man would care enough to help out with the housework without complaining is a HUGE turn on.

And while a traditional lady might be a turn on to some people, the overworked, resentful woman that she might become down the road probably wouldn't be as great.

Anyway, very useful post. I have a lot of clothes I bought in Europe and Japan and now I finally know what those symbols mean. Thanks xmutex!

I can't remember what most of those symbols mean to save my life. So I'm all for being seduced by laundry symbol knowledge.

I love people who are experts in something I don't understand. My secret goal is to hook up with an accountant.

the fact that a man would care enough to help out with the housework without complaining is a HUGE turn on.

Really, a HUGE turn on? I've done the lion's share of housework all my adult life, across many relationships, and I haven't noticed excessive swooning, Alison. Maybe I'm not scrubbing hard enough... or too hard? ;^)
