Weight Watchers Recipe Cards

Looking at these Weight Watchers recipe cards from 1974 it's not hard to see why people lost weight on this diet. Were people really eating this stuff back then?

Some of the descriptions sound tantalising, sadly all the graphics have been pulled. MeFi pulled too much bandwidth I suppose, I'll be checking back later.

Looking at these double posts from 1974 it's not hard to see why MeFi'ers got cranky. Were people really posting without searching first?

To gfrobe's defense (albeit a thin one) the URL of the cards has changed since it was last posted. Wendy's traffic blew through the roof due to postings here and Fark, necessitating a move so the cards didn't bring down the rest of her site (and/or cost a fortune in hosting).
