Bringing back the draft? Enlistment is down, the reserves are nearly tapped out, and the Selective Service has a newly funded $28 million dollar project plan that appears to include a 2004 implementation of the much reviled SSS Lottery/Draft system.

The Selective Service was created to collect information and conduct a lottery/draft should the government decide to use it. I'm not sure I understand what part of this is new. Am I missing something?

Yes, dejah, I don't think this means what you think it means. I had to apply when I turned 18 in 1988.
