Santorum. Dan Savage is a man on a mission: he wants his coinage of "santorum" to go all the way to the top of a Google search for "santorum", and he's calling on bloggers to help him do it. Savage also held a contest a while back to come up with a sexual term for the buggery of a male by a female using an artificial apparatus. The term he coined is "pegging". Savage is on a mission to forever alter the sexual lexicon.

I disagree with Dan Savage's word coinage - shouldn't a "Santorum" amount to a "man-on-dog"? It might produce some "Santorum" a la Savage, but that's to be expected. But I think Rick Santorum made a strong, persistent case - in his own words - that his name should hereafter refer to man-on-dog bestiality, as in: "That Rick! He's been hankering after a Santorum with my poor little min-pin since he first set eyes on her. It kind of makes me nervous, you know? It isn't right."

As I remember it, calling it Dan's "coinage" is a little misleading. He had a contest among readers and this definition won. But he might've been the one who arbitrarily picked it, I can't recall that. At any rate, defining the word one way doesn't stop us from talking about the man himself and his persistent desire to have hot sex with dogs.

Geo. W. Bush in santorum delicto. There's a big difference between liking dogs (as Bush does) and liking dogs. I hate photos like that because they make me think that the president might possibly be a nice guy. I know that he isn't, and I hope that little Fala there takes his nose off, but still... (And yes, when I see that picture of Hitler and the dancing fox terrier, I say "Maybe he wasn't so bad aft...wait! That's Hitler for Christ's sake!")

I think the contest was to name something "Santorum" that really didn't have a name. Dog fucking is covered nicely by "bestiality", but a frothy discharge of anal lube and semen had pretty much been called "a frothy discharge of anal lube and semen", or so I imagine.
