Found on wunderland.com's web comics page, which has good things to say about it. I really enjoyed this site. The story is told from the point of view of the journal of a teenage boy growing up in a mid-Western, mid-century American town, but it deals with much of the post-war American experience. The story, of course, can be enjoyed just for itself, without delving too deeply into history and politics. A huge amount of work seems to have gone into it. Perhaps even more interesting than the journal itself is the life story of the site's author, who died last year. A World War II orphan, he was able to live through much of the American experience he writes about on the site.

A huge amount of work seems to have gone into it. The more you read it and wander around, the more apparent this becomes. It really is a great site. Thanks, plep. I couldn't stop reading the Watertower incident. Crazy kids.
