this seems like a good analog to the all movie guide that's specifically aimed at the british film industry. i just wish the font was a little bigger, and that you could watch the video clips from across the pond...

Wow. Ten to fifteen minutes of footage a piece for many of Powell and Pressburger's films. But they're really torturing film geeks by having links to the hard-to-find Every Day Before Christmas and The Pleasure Garden, sans film clips. Even so, where else can you find "The Tempest" online? Great link.

I'm in the UK and I can't get at it either. From the front page: "Access to video and audio material is limited to users in registered UK schools, colleges and libraries (find out about registration here). All other material is available to all." I'm sure it makes sense from a bandwidth point of view, but it just feels like they are teasing me, dammit.

Precisely. At the moment it's not much use to "film enthusiasts" per se.
