The threshold between randomness and order? - based on past metafilter complaints about my formatting style, I'd say the threshold is my post right above this one.

But I'll leave it to someone else to do the obvious.....

has anyone seen the exhibition? at first i thought "science in kettle's yard? - it's going to be pseudo-mystic claptrap" (i like(d) the place, but i can't say i've ever heard a lot of sense talked about science there). but looking at the list of exhibits, maybe it's too far "the other way": malcolm longair supplying prints of cobe data; "witty" title about supermodels for dna exhibit (wince)... i guess i just can't be pleased (but some of the exhibits do sound fascinating).
