Well, the idea caught on (unsurprisingly), and PimpingThePoor.com has set out to be the 'Consumer Reports of begging sites".

Sadly, it works. Going to Karyn's current website, she has whole pages of links dedicated to other beggars out there, in categories like "Credit Card", "Medical Expenses", "School", and "Misc.". It's the modern day equivalent of pickle jars with pictures pasted to them and a little slot at the top.
