Pathetic Geek Stories have moved onto their own place. No longer a sub category of The Onion, or more correctly, The A.V Club, PGS is a collection of humiliating points in adolescence, some that bring tears of laughter and others that make you cringe. As a long time fan, I love to go through the archives and relive my junior high pain. Navigation is simple and they load quickly for me (T1). Enjoy!

Great stuff, Dagobert - thanks. Only mere cable here but it loads quickly too . Also, thanks for reminding me how funny The Onion can still be: witness "$11000 A Year Doesn't Go As Far As You Probably Think".

I've seen my own life reflected in PGS far too many times - I'm glad it has its own home. I also have great respect for (and jealousy toward) artists who figure out a gig where their readers contribute all the content.

As to the oft-heralded "decline" of the Onion, I don't really buy it - perhaps we've become overly familiar with the method of delivery, but I'll still laugh out loud from time to time, and that's not something I do very often...

Who's talking bad about The Onion?! That is still the most consistently funny website I know of.

There have been times when I thought about sending in a personal pathetic geek story of my own, but I have so many I wouldn't know where to start picking one.

Ouch!

(mumbles under breath as jonmc walks away) Someday I'll be cool, and you'll be putting gas in my car... Did I drop my 20-sided die?

Actually, from 5th to 8th grade, I was a major-league dork myself. But then in high school, I discovered booze, dope and heavy metal (sadly not sex, though) and began hanging around with a rougher crowd. We were far from popular, but we weren't messed with as much. I never did convert to being a bully though. When I see a bunch of people of any persuasion (and all persuasions do it when they're in groups of like minded people) it gets me on edge.

I am a geek who was popular and who could catch a ball. I was a bully but also have a good heart.

I'd rather be evil.
